In the first place, the concept of a facial mask is quite simple.  It is only a cream mask that is put on your face for the purposes of cleaning it well, hydrating it, or otherwise making it smooth.  There are a variety of different ingredients that go into facial masks, and they can be quite different, depending on who has made it and what you are trying to do.  Some of the ingredients that typically go into facial masks include things like vitamins, fruit, extracts, and various minerals that are meant to be very healthy for your face.  Some are very light, while others are have a very paste-like consistency.

One type of facial mask that definitely deserves its own category are facial masks.  Facial masks are also known as peloids, and traditionally, they have included a higher mix of materials that include things like humus and minerals.  There are many different types of mud masks that are used today, and they they contain a wide variety of substances.  Some include materials as varied as sea mud, lake mud, and various plant substances.  When they are applied to your face, they can be very heavy, and they are specifically meant to help you do a deep clean of your face as well as let you put more minerals into your skin.

When you are looking into selecting what kind of facial masks are going to do quite well for you, remember to figure out what issues you are trying to address regarding your face.  Do you have oily skin, or is the skin of your face a little drier?  Either way, you'll find that there are a number of different varieties to consider.  For instance, if you have dry skin, consider clay and mud masks, while oily skin demands something a little lighter.
